Guitar Hero Arcade is a music rhythm game that simulates playing a guitar with the use of a controller shaped like a guitar. The game features a selection of popular rock songs that players can perform by hitting colored buttons on the controller in time with the scrolling notes on the screen.

To play Guitar Hero Arcade, players select a song from the available playlist and choose a difficulty level ranging from easy to expert. The game screen displays a series of colored notes that correspond to the fret buttons on the guitar controller. As the song plays, the notes scroll towards the player, and they must press the corresponding buttons on the controller in synchronization with the music.
