Objective:
The objective of Aeroplane Chess is for each player to successfully navigate all of their aeroplane pieces around the board and back to their home base.
Setup:
- Gather 2 to 4 players.
- Each player selects a color (Red, Yellow, Blue, or Green) and takes the corresponding set of aeroplane pieces.
- Place all aeroplane pieces for each player in their designated starting area on the board.
- Each player rolls the dice to determine who goes first, with the highest roll starting the game.
Gameplay:
- Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their aeroplane pieces based on the number rolled.
- Aeroplanes move clockwise around the board along the designated colored paths.
- If a player rolls a 6, they can choose to either move one of their aeroplane pieces out of their starting area onto the board, or move an already active aeroplane forward 6 spaces.
- Players can choose to "fly over" their own or opponents' aeroplanes, sending the affected aeroplane back to its starting area.
- If a player lands on a space occupied by an opponent's aeroplane, the opponent's aeroplane is sent back to its starting area.
- Players must roll the exact number needed to move their aeroplane into their home base area to win. If a player rolls a number higher than needed, the aeroplane moves into the home base and the excess steps are wasted.
- The first player to successfully move all of their aeroplanes into their home base area wins the game.
Special Spaces:
- 6 Space: If a player rolls a 6, they get an extra turn after completing their initial move.
- Safe Zones: Spaces within a player's home base area are considered safe, meaning opponents' aeroplanes cannot be sent back to their starting areas if landed upon.
Strategy Tips:
- Be strategic about which aeroplane to move based on the current game state and the positions of opponents' aeroplanes.
- Utilize the ability to "fly over" aeroplanes strategically to gain an advantage or block opponents.
- Pay attention to the board and plan your moves to maximize your chances of reaching your home base area efficiently.
